Student life
Life as part of an intellectual community
Some of the brightest students in the world come from more than 100 countries to the University of Chicago to engage with people, programs, and opportunities that help stretch their capabilities and surpass their expectations.
Challenging and collaborative
Undergraduate, graduate, and professional students publish books, launch startups, play on athletic teams, and perform on stage and screen. They teach in local public schools and travel abroad to champion economic development and human rights.
Inspiring and immersive
When our students are not in the classroom, they are out changing the world, holding lively debates inside the Grounds of Being coffee shop, experiencing each other’s cultures at student-run celebrations, or studying together in one of the University’s storied libraries.
